Old English Sheepdog Puppies' F. A.Q.'s

Frequently Asked Questions on purchasing an Old English Sheepdog Puppy

  1. How much are your OES Puppies?  Our prices are located on our OES Sheepdog page.  We keep this page updated with each litter.
  2. Do you provide shipping?  Yes, for an additional cost, shipping is available providing the temperature at the departure, connection, and arrival destinations are within the range of 45 - 85 degrees.  Please call (918) 283-1217 for the current pricing and shipping conditions.
  3. How do I make a deposit?  After calling to ensure the availability of your OES Puppy, please go to OES Order Form to place your deposit.  This is our secure site that accepts both Visa & M/C.
  4. If I don't use Visa or M/C, is there any other way to place a deposit?  Yes, we also accept Western Union.  Please call for details.
  5. Do you still have OES Puppies available?  We update our website each time an OES Puppy is adopted.  The OES PUPS 05/08/05 page has our most recent litter of OES Puppies and lists which Old English Sheepdog Puppies are available.
  6. How can I get placed on your waiting list?  You may contact us and leave your name, address, current email address, and phone number (in case you change email servers).  Be sure to bookmark our site so you can quickly update us to any changes.
  7. What does the waiting list do for me?  By being on our waiting list, you will receive an email when either Lucy or Desi are pregnant and another one when their Old English Sheepdog Puppies are born.
  8. Does being on the waiting list guarantee me an OES Puppy?  No, the Waiting List does not guarantee you an OES Puppy.  Only the placement of a deposit will guarantee your OES Puppy.
  9. Then why should I go on your Waiting List?  By receiving early notification of our pending litter, you will be in a better position to place a deposit to 'hold' an OES puppy.  Our Old English Sheepdog Puppies are awarded in the order the deposits are received.

Frequently Asked Questions on caring for my Old English Sheepdog Puppy

  1. Is my OES puppy current on his/her shots?  Your OES puppy received his/her 1st shots at six weeks.  The next set of shots is due at 12-16 weeks.  Please follow your veterinarian's recommendations.
  2. What proof do I have on the shots?  You will receive a Shot Record along with your AKC Registration papers.  We will have our veterinarian's business card stapled to the Shot Record.
  3. How do I groom my puppy?  We recommend you thoroughly brush your puppy at least weekly.  You may take your OES Puppy to a groomer if you prefer.  We have been grooming your Old English Sheepdog puppy for several weeks, so he/she is used to being brushed, and loves the extra attention.  Do not over bathe your Old English Sheepdog as his/her skin may become dry.
  4. Do I need to have him/her sheared each year?  Shearing is a personnal matter.  Old English Sheepdogs have a double-coat fur.  The inner layer insulates your Old English Sheepdog from both the cold and heat of the season.  If you choose to shear your OES puppy and have never done so yourself, please check with a professional groomer.  Caution must be used so as to not shear your Old English Sheepdog too closely.  He/she is very sensitive to the sun and can easily be sunburned.  Extreme caution should be taken around his/her face and eyes.
  5. What else besides shearing will keep my Old English Sheepdog cool in the summer?  Shearing itself is not enough.  His/her undercoat still needs to be brushed at least weekly.  By using a quality underbrush comb, you will remove the excess coat that will allow your Old English Sheepdog to remain cool.  A "kiddy pool" also does great.  Most Old English Sheepdogs love to swim and play in the water.

Thank you for visiting our website.  If your question wasn't answered here, please go to our Contact Us page and email us your questions.  If you don't receive a personal reply within 24 hours, please call as we're having email-server problems.

Thank you and Happy Puppying !!!
